https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKFZjRV7L_Q In the first video, I learned about the pen tool. Based on my attempt to use it in illustrator and after this video, I think it'll be fairly easy. It seems like a simple tool to use, but at first I believe it'll be a challenge. I know you can use the pen tool by using paths, that create to control points. When we used the color match in illustrator, I felt confident about that. The paint brush seems a little trickier than just having the color match the other one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJnka575yq4 The next video I watched was about creating shapes with the shape tool. I find connections through driving my friends to the beach and watching the sunrise/sunset. A man with a bandage on his face and an eye patch. It's clear he's been hurt in some way and is suffering. It appears he has been beaten which is a sad thought. I think my emotions realized the evil and hurtfulness in this world. No one should have to suffer or feel like that.

For this assignment I decided to use propoganda for the solar eclipse that recently happened. The original picture was taken with regular glasses rather than sunglasses but I thought for the solar eclipse that the sun glasses was a better look because it helped to capture the idea and thought process behind it. Tracing my facial features was relatively simple except for the ears. it felt like the ears have so many different little parts that getting each one was impossible.

For this project, I thought about what would really represent me. At first, I thought about those name tags people get that say "Hello, my name is..." so I kind of took that idea and ran with it, Hence, the reason for the boarders. Then I added some colors that I thought would help make it pop. Personally I like the blue and green as well as the purple and green color combinations the best. The red and yellow is very McDonalds looking. Attached are some of my inspiration.
